ST. LOUIS, MO. (Dec. 9, 2019) – Rabo AgriFinance announces the hire of Joseph Bothe as a senior relationship manager. Based in DeKalb, Illinois, Bothe will work closely with crop growers and livestock producers in central and northern Illinois.
“I’ve been involved in agriculture all my life, grew up on a grain and cattle farm near Amboy in Lee County and have proudly worked the past 30 years in ag,” Bothe said. “I look forward to building relationships with producers to help them with financing, share global market information and offer risk management tools as ag continues to be more and more global.”

Working with Bothe, area farmers may access capital for purchasing, operating their enterprises and working toward their long-term goals. Bothe spent the last 10 years as an agricultural and commercial advisor with Resource Bank in DeKalb. He began his career in corporate finance and accounting with DeKalb Genetics Corporation and eventually moved to strategic planning roles for the seed and trait product management teams at DeKalb and Monsanto.
“A life-long resident of northern Illinois, Joe has a deep understanding of the needs of the growers in the area,” notes Chris Berends, business development manager for Rabo AgriFinance. “His experience lends to his ability to listen to and work with individual producers or a boardroom team on business strategy, planning, and issues that could impact their business.”
Bothe enjoys basketball and running and puts a lot of energy to his community as well. He currently serves on the organizing committee for Feed My Starving Children’s mobile food packing event in DeKalb, was a founding board member of the DeKalb Agricultural Heritage Association, and is involved with his church, Hillcrest Covenant Church.
